This season, we have just launched an entire collection of Corduroy and Velvet hats in various silhouettes. Some retro styles, some popular baseball styles and even a few bucket hats, coz, why not! Read on to know more.
Who remembers the famous pink cabbie hat worn by Preity Zinta in Salaam Namaste? A classic hat style we revisited as we picked a few styling tips from that era. There are so many versions of this well-loved silhouette that are doing the rounds in the latest TV series’ as well. A small front peak with a slightly balloony crown, this hat sits nice and snug on the forehead, held by an elasticated sweatband. Our version has 8 panels and a flat button on top. We made ours in two beautiful colours of Smoke Blue and Olivine. The corduroy fabric we have used is a wide-waled corduroy, which adds some lovely texture to the look and feel of this classic hat style. A cotton lining on the inside ensures you feel comfortable at all times while wearing it, and don’t ever feel an itchiness on your forehead. This hat looks great when paired with a sweater, jacket, or shirt and jeans. If you’re feeling a little adventurous, you could also style it with a slightly oversized sweater, woollen skirt and stockings. It’s a perfect winter hat and keeps you warm while looking very stylish.
Another retro silhouette we revisited this time is a classic golf hat or as some would call it, a flat newsboy cap. Also known as an Irish Tweed cap. A style of hats that were worn by golfers in the early days, usually made in Irish woollen tweed fabrics. It is characterised by a short stiff front peak and a flat fit on the crown. These days you’ll see them worn by both men and women looking to elevate their outfit to a retro vibe. It’s a great silhouette to pair with retro style trousers and suspenders.
Our version is available in two colours : Black checkered corduroy and a deep maroon corduroy. We’ve added brass buttons at the back for a touch of subtle sophistication. Size adjustability has been incorporated in it as well. Again, a 100% cotton lining makes sure you are comfortable while wearing it.
Along with the above two silhouettes, we also have some other popular styles made in soft, luxurious corduroy fabric. We have two beautiful bucket hats with size adjustable sweatbands, one in Black and one in a rich Forest Green colour, both in wide corduroys.
We also have two velvet caps this time, made in crushed velvet. A stunning Twilight Blue with gold embroidery detailing at the back, and a Jet-Black one with gold embroidery as well. Both these hats are made with a structured front and brass buckle detailing at the back. Branded, printed inner tapes add to the luxury of this hat.
Another two colours that we added to this type of structured hat are a rustic burnt orange colour and a light aqua haze. Both hats in a medium wale corduroy look perfect styled with any outfit.
